Juvederm® Vollure™ xc
Allergan®, the makers of Botox® and Juvederm®, recently released their newest product, Juvederm Vollure™ XC. It has been approved by the FDA to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. This new product is special because it is the first and only filler that lasts up to 18 months!
Juvederm Vollure™ XC uses VYCROSS® technology, a blend of hyaluronic acids of different weights, which contributes to the duration of the gel. This unique balance subtly corrects moderate to severe facial lines and folds, especially in the nasolabial folds, oral commissures, and marionette lines.

are there side effects?
Possible side-effects include redness, itching, swelling or bumps. These reactions are usually mild to moderate and resolve within 7 days or less. A week before your procedure, it is recommended that you avoid taking aspirin and other anti-inflammatory drugs that thin the blood. This will reduce the risk of bruising at the injection site.
Juvederm Vollure™ XC has been FDA approved to treat facial lines. Its safety and effectiveness have not yet been evaluated for treatment in areas other than the face. It is approved for adults over the age of 21. Common side effects include redness at the injection site, swelling, pain, bruising, tenderness, lumps/bumps, discoloration, and itching. These side effects were usually mild in nature and subsided after a few days. As with all procedures that involve an injection through the skin, there is a risk of infection.
The most common side effects of Juvéderm Volbella® are swelling, tenderness, bruising, firmness, redness, and itching at the site of treatment. Most side effects are mild or moderate and dissipate quickly. As with all procedures that involve an injection through the skin, infection may occur.
